Easy recipe of black tiger prawns with sweet chilli sauce, colourful veggies and basmati rice. And trust me, this meal it tastes as good as it looks!
Ingredients
5 black tiger king prawns
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 onion
1 carrot
1 pepper
1 cup leek
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup sweet chilli sauce
salt to taste
sesame seeds
fresh parsley
Method
Chop the veggies into shapes you like, see mines below
In a sauce pan heat the oil and add the tiger prawns with their shells on, a pinch of salt and fry them on each side for 1-2 minutes, then take them out on a clean plate using kitchen tongs
In the same pan where you cooked the prawns add the veggies and a pinch of salt, and stir fry them for few minutes till they soften
Add the soy sauce, water and sweet chilli sauce and cook for 1 more minute
Add back the cooked prawns and coat them together with veggies and sauce, then remove from the heat
Sprinkle on top sesame seeds and fresh parsley, and serve with cooked basmati rice
Notes
Different colours of pepper can be use on this recipe, same for the veggies (e.g. courgettes, celery, cabbage, spring onion etc)
The sweet chilli sauce can be replaced with sweet and sour sauce
The prawns should be washed and deveined before cooking
